Summer Camp 2024

Reasons to join us this summer

We are looking to help families and serve our community.  We want to revolutionize the way we conduct camps to maximize learning and development so we can have confident youth ready to accept life’s challenges.

Possibilities

Athletic Development

Lots of time running, dodging, bouncing, climbing, jumping, throwing, kicking within game settings is the perfect recipe, not only for a good time, but to develop agility, balance, coordination, accuracy, stamina, conditioning, strength, flexibility, speed, and power.

Take control

Character Development

It’s how you play the game that matters.  The focus throughout the week is to practice playing in such a manner that makes the game fun and so everyone desires to keep playing.

Future

Leadership

Learn, Act, Teach.  Campers will learn by practicing, being led, and then given opportunities to lead.

Community

Service

Each week of campers will be encouraged to do something for their community.  We want to give the campers an opportunity to show gratitude for their opportunities.

Safety

Responsibility

Campers will be given opportunities to work on what they learned at camp.  They can earn points for the group by completing tasks outside of camp and practicing what they have learned.  Those points earn a group reward on the last day of camp.

Educational

Interest Based

Our variety of options allows, campers to select what topics interest them.  You learn the most when you choose the topic.

There are three age groups.

Campers are 7 -12 years old and divided into groups that are age specific.  7-8, 9-10, 11-12.

Junior Leaders 13-15 years old.  They work within a group of campers and assist the Senior Leader.

Senior Leaders are 16-18 years old.  They are in charge of a group of campers and 1 or 2 junior leaders.

Current regulations require us to have groups of 10.  This means 8-9 campers, 1-2 junior leaders, and then camp staff (Senior Leader)

Each week of camp is Monday – Friday

Yes there are!  There is a 10% sibling discount.  Because of the current situation, we strongly encourage you to form your own group of campers from your trusted network of friends.  If you can get a group of 5 campers in a single age group then everyone receives 20% off.

The week starts off with each group coming up with their team name, team motto, and banner.

Games and activities include: Sharks and Minnows, Flag Pull, True Colors, Factory, Bear-Salmon-mosquito, poison ball, Yoshi, Rock, Defend the Castle, Head Catch, paper plates and many more.

Obstacles:  Life is full of challenges.  Each day we will have two obstacles for the campers to practice.  The obstacles include: wall climb, ring swing, balance beam, low crawl, vault, hurdles, boulder roll, zigzag, etc.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our campers, their families, our staff and the community. We are working closely with local health officials, the American Camp Association and the CDC to ensure all recommended safety measures are met.

SAFETY MEASURES

Our day camp operations will meet or exceed the required standards set forth by local and national experts to ensure a safe experience, including:

  • Campers should bring water in a refillable water bottle with their name clearly labeled.
  • Parents should apply sunscreen before campers arrive to camp in the morning, as staff will no longer be able to apply sunscreen to campers upon request. Additional sunscreen will be made available throughout the day, but campers will need to apply their own sunscreen.
  • Daily temperature checks are mandatory for all campers and staff before check-in. Any camper with a temperature exceeding 100°F will not be allowed to attend camp that day.
  • Camp groups will retain the same assigned staff all week when possible.
  • Frequent handwashing and enhanced sanitation practices.
  • Staff will sanitize supplies and facilities throughout the day.
  • Camp activities will follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Camp groups will have limited to zero interaction with other groups, following social distancing guidelines.

Senior Leaders must meet the age requirement and apply for the position.  Apply HERE.   We pay experienced  senior leaders.  If they are not paid, they will earn community service hours they can use towards high school graduation, scholarship opportunities, awards, etc.
