Summer Camp 2024

Reasons to join us this summer

We are looking to help families and serve our community.  We want to revolutionize the way we conduct camps to maximize learning and development so we can have confident youth ready to accept life’s challenges.

Possibilities

Athletic Development

Lots of time running, dodging, bouncing, climbing, jumping, throwing, kicking within game settings is the perfect recipe, not only for a good time, but to develop agility, balance, coordination, accuracy, stamina, conditioning, strength, flexibility, speed, and power.

Take control

Character Development

It’s how you play the game that matters.  The focus throughout the week is to practice playing in such a manner that makes the game fun and so everyone desires to keep playing.  The will learn what character traits are, decide which ones they want to develop and how to put them into action.

Future

Leadership

Learn, Act, Teach.  Campers will learn by practicing, being led, and then given opportunities to lead.  They will learn what it means to lead, the responsibilities of leadership and why it is important to be able to lead and how to support leaders.

Community

Service

Each week, campers will be encouraged to do something for their community.  We will discuss opportunities and encourage them to follow through. We want to give the campers an opportunity to show gratitude for what they have, for those who are helping them along the way and the opportunities they have been given.

Safety

Responsibility

Campers will be given opportunities to work on what they learned at camp.  They can earn points for the group by completing tasks outside of camp and practicing what they have learned.  Those points earn a group reward on the last day of camp.

Educational

Interest Based

Our variety of options allows, campers to select what topics interest them.  You learn the most when you choose the topic.

HOW IT WORKS

What does a day of Camp look like?

The basic schedule for all the camps is the same. We will start all together to go over the character attribute of the day, exercise of the day and read/discuss part of the Warrior Kid. Then we will brake off into groups of 8-10 children. There are 4 Station rotations each day. Each station will have at least one activity that will have a key teaching purpose (leadership, seeing those around them, helping others, team work, communication, etc). Between the 2nd and 3rd stations, we will have lunch break where the campers will be able to eat, discuss what they have learned so far and get to know the other campers through asking and answering questions. After the 4th Station, the groups will meet to discuss what they learned during stations 3 & 4. Then we will close the day all together and award the Character Attribute awards and count up team points.

CAMP FEATURES

The fun and games of Mission Strong are used to give opportunities for kids to practice good character and leadership skills.

Chances for Kids

All camps spend one rotation (approx 45 min) of free time in the trampoline & adventure park.

Opportunities for Junior and Senior Youth Leaders

Opportunities to lead gives them responsibility. Responsibility leads to increased confidence. Confidence leads to better decision making and priorities.

Give them the Confidence

Learning and overcoming is the greatest power we can give our youth. Camp is a safe environment to try new things, get out of their comfort zone and learn they can do hard things.
